The cause is one of the followings.

Some batteries might be inserted incorrectly. 
Please keep in mind that when some batteries are incorrectly inserted, the rest of the batteries will only be consumed which will lead to batteries releasing heat and malfunction.

If the batteries or remote control's terminal are dirty, a loose contact between batteries and remote control will be established which leads to high rate of energy consumption.

When batteries or remote control's terminal are dirty, please wipe with a clean piece of cloth.

An error might have occurred in remote control function due to static electricity. 
Please take out both batteries and reinsert them into the remote control.
